7 Days Kampala-Jinja Self Guided Adventure
Anyone avoiding driving for long distances will obviously opt for a 7 days Kampala-Jinja self-guided adventure. This comes with major highlights in Kampala and Jinja City. Below is the itinerary we recommend for motorcycle enthusiasts who wish to experience the best of Kampala and Jinja city.
Day 1/7: Kampala-Jinja Self Guided motorcycle Adventure
On day one of your Kampala-Jinja motorcycle adventure, Transfer to Ssezibwa falls after your breakfast at your lodge in Kampala. Tours around Ssezibwa falls then proceeds to Lugazi town for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to griffin falls in the Mabira forest for accommodation. You will spend your afternoon relaxing in the afternoon at any of your chosen Mabira forest lodges.
Day 2/7: Kampala-Jinja Self Guided motorcycle Adventure
Wake up to an early breakfast at your lodge after which you will transfer to the inception point for Ziplining in the Mabira forest. You will then have a lunch break after which you will proceed with a forest walk through the forest. You will have the opportunity to spot some monkeys and other rare forest bird species during your forest walk.
At the end of the forest walk, you will transfer back to your lodge where you will have dinner and overnight for the second day.
Day 3/7: Kampala-Jinja Self Guided motorcycle Adventure
Wake up as early as 6:00 am in the morning, have your breakfast then proceed to Jinja for white water rafting. There are mainly two rafting companies, Nalubale rafting, and Adrift Uganda. You can choose any according to your preference. Please note; you have to be at the inception point or offices as early as 8:30 am. The rafting company will transport you to the rafting inception point. The package also covers lunch if you book a full day package.
At the end of the raft, you will transfer to the source of the Nile where you will have a riverside camping experience. You will also have your dinner at the source of the Nile in Jinja.
Day 4/7: Kampala-Jinja Self Guided motorcycle Adventure
Wake up for breakfast at a restaurant of your choice at the source of the Nile. After breakfast, have you’re a guided tour around the source of the Nile including a boat trip, African souvenir craft shops, and a walk around the source of the Nile.
Rest a beat after your tour as you wait for lunch at the source of the Nile. At the end of your lunch, transfer to Sipi Falls. You can preferably spend your night in Mbale town or spend the night at any of the Sipi falls lodges.
Day 5/7: Kampala-Jinja Self Guided motorcycle Adventure
After your breakfast, set off from the lodge to go hiking; you can also hire a local tour guide with the help of Offroad Bikes Uganda. This will also help you properly plan for lunch during your hiking experience. You will have a full day tour in Sipi Falls and the surrounding communities.
In the evening, you will transfer back to your Sipi falls lodge where you will have dinner and breakfast the next day.
Day 6/7: Kampala-Jinja Self Guided motorcycle Adventure
After breakfast, you will head for a community tour around Sipi falls; around mid-morning, you will set off to go for lunch after which you will transfer back to Jinja in the afternoon. You can have a night tour in Jinja city up to 9:30 pm with permission from Offroad Bikes Uganda.
You will spend your night in Jinja city.
Day 7/7: Kampala-Jinja Self Guided motorcycle Adventure
After your breakfast in Jinja, transfer to Kampala. Visit any of the following places, Bahai temple, Namirembe cathedral, Rubaga cathedral, Namugongo shrine, Music studio (we can help you reserve an appointment to visit), and end your trip at Ndeere cultural center. You can hand over the motorcycle at Ndere cultural center and hire an Uber back to your hotel in Kampala.
